Protecting our Employees
As a COVID-19 essential business, Fry-Wagner remains open for business as usual and continues to provide moving and storage solutions to those in need. Nevertheless, we are taking extra safety precautions to ensure compliance with CDC recommendations and protect the health of all employees at our three locations in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield, Missouri. Many of our employees are now working from home, and all mission-critical team members are proactively practicing social distancing and are provided with masks and gloves. As our front-line employees interact with customers daily, we are closely monitoring their health. Any employee with signs of fever, cough or shortness of breath will be sent home from work immediately. We have also increased our daily cleaning procedures including workspaces, trucks and equipment.
Protecting our Customers
We understand your concerns when it comes to having our crews in your home during this time. In addition to the above precautions, Fry-Wagner is practicing the below protection measures to provide safe moving experiences to all our customers.
- To begin the day, all dispatched trucks are wiped down with disinfectant in the cabs and trailers or cargo areas as well as high-touched moving equipment. This process includes all door handles, mirrors, steering wheel, tablets, knobs, dollies, etc..
- Crews will greet customers with a smile. We have asked our crews to refrain from all handshaking.
- Crews will work diligently to maintain their distance from customers on move day; practicing the CDC’s six-foot guideline.
- All crewmembers have been instructed to abide by the CDC’s recommended hand-washing techniques.
- We are encouraging customers to disinfect all high-touch items and areas at the home such as doorknobs, door handles, light switches, handrails and any other surfaces. We recommend repeating the entire disinfectant process once the movers have completed the job.
