An in-home estimate is an essential step to begin the move process. For some customers, it can be difficult to be present for the estimate or find the time to meet with someone during the day. Thanks to the new technology offered through United Van Lines, Fry-Wagner is excited to announce a new way to receive a free in-home move estimate, without having to meet with a moving company in the home.
A virtual survey allows our customers to communicate with their Estimator via video chat on a smartphone or tablet. Simply download the free app and live film a walk around the home while showing the Estimator all the items to be moved. Within this app, the Estimator will also have the ability to screenshot photos of large or unusual items. This feature allows us to keep these images on file any crating or special handling requirements. Once the walkthrough is completed, the customer can discuss any questions or concerns regarding their move with an estimator in real time.

How to use the Virtual Survey Tool:
These simple steps below will show how to navigate the virtual survey tool.
- Go to your app store and search “virtual survey”. Download the free Virtual Survey app. The app is available to both Apple and Android users.
- Once the app has been downloaded, read the instructions on the home screen that will walk you through the process.
- A few minutes before your survey is scheduled, you will receive a 6-digit code from your Estimator via text. Enter this code in the space provided and click the launch survey button.
- Once you have clicked the launch survey button, the virtual survey will begin!
Here are some important things to remember during your survey:
- Organize your home before the survey.
- Note any valuable items to the Estimator.
- If you get disconnected during the virtual survey, log back into the app using the same code that was previously sent.
